This study examines the overall progress, operational results, and research results of the Specialized Child Policy Impact Assessment conducted from the pilot project in 2019 to the main project in 2022. Additionally, the study seeks ways to improve the effectiveness through expert opinion surveys about target policy selection and analysis methods. 12 studies conducted from 2019 to 2022 for the Specialized Child Policy Impact Assessment was reviewed in terms of the process of discovering and selecting target policies, and analysis methods for each target policy. The criteria for selecting target policies and in-depth analysis procedures were examined through case studies of other domestic impact assessments similar to the Specialized Child Policy Impact Assessment. In addition, the opinions of two groups of experts were collected and analyzed on how to decide target policies and analysis methods of Specialized Child Policy Impact Assessment. Policy implications were suggested in improving the Specialized Child Policy Impact assessment.
